So I'm building a tube chassis car and it's almost time to mount the motor and tranny and with the motor close to sitting where it needs to be I notice the trans output will be about 1.5 inches below the pinion of the rear end. This is a 4-link car with a dana. I put 2* of pinion angle in in the rear but it looks like it could use a little more. A little advice from the experts would be appreciated.

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't go any further than 2° degrees down on the axle (compared to the driveshaft that is of course).
A 4-link setup doesn't change much during launch I think. -

I can't claim to be an expert but I think you need to base your measurments off the centerline of the drivetrain... If your tail of your trans is sitting that low you may have too much pitch in your driveline.Comment

Really depends on the set-up.
We use 1.5 - 4 down. There can
be alot of slop, evne in a 4 link.Comment

Thanks guys, I thing the trans is only an inch or so lower then the rear pinion. I'll go measure it and make sure. I just didn't want to create problems in the future cause I have something out of wack.Comment
