      The Unibit hole cutter is old news.. I have been using them for a while..

      ..but I love the conical washer & socket idea that dresses the holes really nicely. Very factory looking too.

      I did a similar trick with my RHD conversion where I needed to recess the bolt-head's bearing surface against the crush tube in my Camaro subframe.

            The kids made some flanged holes for the robot in 2007....but they used nice equipment...a Rotex punch (much quicker if you have to make hundreds of holes) and we turned a special tool on the lathe to form the flange in a press...also much quicker than using a bolt. Although the socket trick is very clever, I'll have to keep that in mind next time I need to make flanged holes.
