  • Bonnet vs. Box

    I am putting a Novi 2000 on my BBC and am trying to decide between a bonnet or an enclosed box for the carb. I will be using a Quick fuel Q-750-BAN carb. It will also be set at 8-10 lbs of boost. Any and all responses are appreciated.

    Of course its up to you what you use. Personally I would use a hat from Extreme Velocity or CSU. And a carb from CSU or C&S.

      Use a bonnet! csu/extreme velocity or even the spectre bonnet (low buck) works well

        The box has issues. It can work but NONE of the guys make big power are using them.
        Most mass production boxes have issue at much over 7psi. We have switched boxes to bonnents and pick up power, gotten better A/F, and been able to run more boost with less issues.

        EV Bonnets are the best.
        Carbs, CSU or C&S don't bother with the other.
        These are the only two investing in the blow-thru at the ground floor.
        Others are coming on board but only after CSU & C&S made the ground work.
        Many of these new comers said it would never work.
        If you are keeping the QF send it to CSU and have him mod it for blow-thru.
