Reviving a project I started a while ago on retrofitting GM convenience options onto my '64 Riviera mainly out of 91-96 B-body cars because they were some of the last vehicle before GM got completely integrated on the electronics. The C86 Automatic Climate Control in the Buick Roadmaster has link to the ECM via the Class 2 bus that reads coolant temp so the heater or defroster doesn't turn on before there is any heat in the coolant if you have it in automatic mode. Is the Class 2 data bus a common GM architecture so a different ECM putting the same data (coolant temp) on the bus would still be readable by the Climate Control head?
