  • MSII-Extra firmware load

Anyone know how to do this? Keep getting the below when I click on down load firmware:

The zipfile has not been extracted correctly-please ensure you use folder names' or create sub directories when extracting. This batch file cannot run without:
    CHOICE>COM
    ms2dl.exe

Been trying to use Winzip but can't even find the files listed. God I suck at computers

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

sounds like you're running the download command from within the zip file, and it needs the other files to be unzipped. Just "unzip" to a permanent folder... then run the command.

It also looks like you're trying to use the MS downloader program, which won't work with MS2/extra. You need to use the download-firmware.bat file. This file will be in the folder that you get when you unzip everything. If you haven't seen it yet, this page might help to make sense of it all, http://www.msextra.com/ms2extra/MS2-....htm#install_f

        Re: MSII-Extra firmware load

Not sure why the first MSIIextra would not work. Found the parent directory for the latest release and it downloaded in a zipped file and it unzipped fine. Clicked the download-firmware.bat file just like before and it works this time. Go figure ???

Updated the firmware on a friends 2.3T truck tonight without issue. Have it running again and have the wide band working on it too.

        Another problem solved ;D

        Thanks again
