  • Megasquirt table question

What happens if the engine runs off the values on the tables? Example: if the tables stop at 6000rpm but the engine revs to 7000rpm, or if the table stops at 300kpa and boost goes to 400kpa?

Have a friends turbo truck set up with 300kpa max in the table, expect to surpass that at some point.

    Thanks

what happens is, you get the same fuel quantity (or timing) as the last point on the map. So, if you are at 7000rpm and 400kpa, you get the same fuel that's scheduled at 6000rpm (table max) and 300kpa. setting up your bins properly will let you run 40+psi and still get accurate fuel mapping...

Thanks. Guess some table work will need to be done.

One note is that it goes with the table value, but sometimes other factors will still apply such as air density correction. If the MAP sensor can read to 400 kPa, it will at least increase fuel from air density correction even if there are no new table entries.
