DG, This is really aimed at you but I wouldn't be surprised if someone else could answer it as well.
Say I wanted to add a supercharger to my daily driver but I still want to keep the electronically controlled transmission and the emissions stuff working. Can I pair the MS to control the fuel and timing but leave the OEM ECM hooked up for the rest? I think you did the trans side for Chad on Rusty correct? What about the stuff like evap, canister purge, EGR control? I know it wouldn't be ideal (especially the EGR) but is it possible?
Throw in an added twist, what if I took a V8 and swapped it for the V6? I'm unsure of the compatablity of the V8 ECM with the car (since it was offered only in a different variant) but they do use the same transmission. Think the V6 ECM could still handle the trans and emissions side?
Side note to all of this, what do you think of Moate's Quarterhorse or similar to mess with the Ford EEEC-V?
Thanks,
