Well, been reading and learning about the MS3X wiring for the injectors and coils. Plan to drive it all from the MS3X board and wire the same as a sequential system. It "seems" easy enough. But are there any "gotchas" or things to avoid or common rookie mistakes that aren't covered in the megamanual?

Heres the mess right now. The windshield washer fluid is for when the Vodka runs out later. LOL.

Here is the plug on the coil pin out
A - Ignition signal from ECU--SEEMS SELF EXPLANATORY

B - Logic ground, connect to ECU ground-- HOOK TO ALL THE OTHER GROUNDS FROM THE MS3 BOX THAT ARE ARE BOLTED TO THE REAR OF THE ENGINE ON THIS CAR?

C - Spark wire ground, connect to cylinder head--CAN THIS BE CONNECTED TO THE SAME GROUND AS THE LOGIC GROUND OR IS THAT A BIG NO-NO?

D - Power ground, connect to battery negative--CHASSIS GROUND OR WIRED TO BATTERY ONLY? BATTERY IS IN TRUNK.

E - 12 volt power RELAYED FROM FUEL PUMP TRIGGER OFF ECU. OK TO GET FROM STARTER OR TOO NOISY?

    Thanks Sean

      A - yes
B - Yes, but keep it mobile for testing in case we move BOTH of these later (possibility of joining them all to one 10-ga ground wire and running that to the battery negative, if noise problems)
C - Yes, connect to cylinder head. NO DO NOT CONNECT NEAR TTL GROUND! :-) one is very noisy and high current, the other (TTL) is low current and sensitive, keep these grounds away from each other.

D - Probably fine with chassis ground here, or a block ground that is NOT the same lug as the TTL and MS3 grounds. make sure the chassis ground to block and battery negative are good connections and overkill on capacity.

E - It's OK to get the power from the starter, or alternator lug. Yes, trigger from fuel pump output of MS3X, but also trigger same relay with switched ignition so there are two safeties required to energize that relay.

        Thanks again guys.

Sorting the wiring out. Mainly did some clean-up and organizing. Trying different routing to see where it will all fit. This is probably why many don't stray from a carb. LOL. Lots of wires to sort out. The Diyautune wiring harness makes it not too bad though. Hope to do some testing by the end of the week.

How many amps and what size wire do the coils need?

Finally have spark! Need to more testing, but seems to be working OK.

Finally got it to start and idle. Scott was very helpful with some email advice, saved me a lot of headaches. Thanks to all of you that had input

              Cool.

Thanks for bumping this to the top, I may be tackling some of this wiring this week.
              Escaped on a technicality.

I have to say I really like the way you mounted your coils.

Thanks, hope it runs better this year than last. Copied the coil mounts from you IIRC LOL
