In need of a quick question answered anyone. On a H.O 383 what's the best size throttle body to run on this motor also the accurate size injectors to run to get the best performance out of this motor I hear you can run 350 injectors but they'd be at there maximum and I'd have to cut the fuel pressure back to like 14.

Is this for your 1997 truck? GMPP offers a 383 crate motor that drops in with no changes required to the computer or fuel management system, or so they advertise it that way.

This is just one place that sells it, Scoggin-Dickey is another if you'd feel better about buying it from an actual GM dealer.

I'd been looking at jegs but they only offer the motor without the injectors nor the intake or throttle body they said id just switch my pullys which I'm running a serpentine setup use my intake off the vortex as well as the 350 injectors. Now I don't know about you but I will not put used parts on a new motor much less used injectors that i think are to small for the 383.

            Re: black widow

Injector sizing is based on the amount of horsepower you intend to make.

I use the calculator on the RC engineering website to determine proper injector sizing.

            http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx

Be aware, however, that if you use a larger injector with a stock computer, you will undoubtedly have drive-ability problems. The computer still thinks there are stock injectors, not the new larger sized injectors. You need to have the ability to tune for the change in injector size.
            I'm still learning
