hi everyone, my first drag week, been trying to get there for 10 years. Flew over (from England) a year ago and bought a car, previous owner promised to do some work on it for me. Couldnt have done it without him, but we still had some small issues. No-one to tow car to event, so drove it near 1000 miles over 5 days. First day, first fill up, the gas tank leaked. Took the tank out 3 times, got it fixed in the end, Wheel bearing adjustment, rear fender flare adjustment (3 times). Two broken spark plugs (only found those when changed them on day 2), and an oil leak from the back of the pan. Carb made car run like a bitch, had been promised a new one that never came. Luckily things never got worse otherwise we would have been out before we started. Did the week, only 1 run a day, didnt want to jinx it, then drove the car another 900 miles to the port. Its waiting to roll onto a ship as I write, might come home late October. Without an ebay toolkit assembled and mailed before we got there would have been a disaster. I saw alot of trailers during the week, we were very lucky not to have been on one of them. Thanks to everyone who said hello and offered help when we didnt really need it.

              Ouch! Sorry for your pain.

Unrelated by what brand rods are those? Somebody on another forum was trying to identify some rods with a Y on them like those.

              Thanks,
              Bill

I believe those are RPM brand rods. My 6.7's are RPM and also have a Y.

At Indy, I broke a pushrod guide plate which caused the exhaust rocker to turn under the intake rocker which tried to compress the exhaust rocker and bent the pushrod. Called Blueprint Engines and they covered it under warranty. I had new pushrods, rocker arms and guide plates waiting for me when I got to Union Grove!!
