Nice pics. Any chance you got one of me (white 68 Biscayne) and/or my Dad (teal 59 Biscayne)?

          Cool. Thanks Gerrit.

I'm still looking for a decent "action" shot of us at the line/coming off the line. I've gone through a bunch of galleries (Hot Rod's, other pro photog's, etc.) and it seems no one liked the Bissys enough to expend their camera's memory card space on such a shot.

As far as a photo on Dad's camera? It probably was a nice photo, but will most likely never see the light of day since he only rarely downloads pics off that thing. (Something me and my sibs sigh about at every family gathering when he takes a pic with that camera. ; )

I didnt' get a picture, but there was an almost identical 59 biscayne at the local breakfast last Friday morning. A local flipper has it. 348, three on the tree, same aqua color, older Cragar SS wheels. Nice car, not all original, not fixed up really nice, but a cool driver. Strange seeing two of them so close together in appearance, and time.

Goodness, I look so curmudgeonly in that photo, sitting there at the front wheel with a scowl on my face. What am I? A papparazi-hatin' celebrity or something? ; )

Wow, that is a bit strange Squirrel. And a 348 with a 3 speed seems like an odd combo to boot. But maybe that was more common than I'd think?

My Dad bought his Biscayne about 10 years back with the 275hp 350 crate that's currently in it. He's pretty sure it was a 3-on-the-tree but was converted to a 4 speed before he bought it. He had a couple 59 Biscaynes in his youth (early-mid 1960s). One a 3 speed/283 and another a 4-speed/327. Got a lot of trophies at the local strips with both of them.

when I was looking at the car, another guy was telling me about the one he had way back when....same thing, 348/3 speed. He converted his to floor shift with a reverse pattern, so it looked like he had a 4 speed he said a 4 speed was very expensive at that time (early 60s).

Hi Cal. I still build transmissions out of my garage but my occupation now is a machinist at bo-mar industries. I get to make a lot of parts for top fuel and funny car teams and even Dallara Indy car parts.
                    Hope you're doing well!

I may have some. I shot so many photos it's time consuming going through all of them. I should have some free time tonight. I will have a look.
