Wherever you can! I booked before registration opened and it was tough finding spots.

Paul did that in his 55 Nomad....it worked ok for him. Some years the tracks have better facilities (showers, etc) than others!

Same here. Think I did it in January and closest hotels filled up already.

I'm not sure you will want to camp any where close to the track in St.Louis. Not the nicest area around it. I doubt most tracks will let you in until the morning of the event.

That's good point about St Louis - I took look on google maps ..lol. And I bet you are right - rest of tracks probably closed overnight... if there's physical space on entrance roads with tree line you might find some camping "spots" ... if they and local cops cool with it.

I'll post up when I can consolidate my schedule. Woof! Paying for one night at a time makes it a bit expensive. I did book several casino hotels in hopes of recouping some of my expenditures. ;)

They keep you off the interstates for most part. Local roads and state highways. 2/4 lane'rs. You get written directions - go 12.1 miles on Rt 34 and take left onto Longview Road .... that kind of thing. It brings you to the check points. Looks like they try to get the entire circuit to be 1000 miles. Some legs longer than other of course because of track locations.

I'd definitely call the tracks. I bet they might have some ideas for ya !
