Where is everyone staying?

I'll post up when I can consolidate my schedule. Woof! Paying for one night at a time makes it a bit expensive. I did book several casino hotels in hopes of recouping some of my expenditures. ;)

LOL. You have never been on Drag Week have you? Having time to recoup money in a casino? Some nights you will be lucky to get a couple hours of sleep. Just getting to the next hotel is huge, and then you will spend time hanging out with other Drag Weekers discussing your days adventure.

Well here's my list for the week... Hotels are all within 15-20 miles of track and no back tracking....

Sept 10th, 14th and 15th country inn and suites by Carlson. (Clinton, Iowa) 1-(563)244-9922
Sept 11th. Days Inn Collinsville. (Collinsville, Il). 1-(618)345-2000
Sept 12th. Super 8 Rochelle. (Rochelle, Il). 1-(815)562-2468
Sept 13th. Super 8 Kenosha/pleasant prairie. (Pleasant prairie, wi). 1-(262)857-7963

So far we have group of about 5 cars going...

I just booked a bunch of Holiday Inn affiliated hotels as close to the track as possible. Ofcourse the nearest ones are all booked up already. Should have done that earlier but forgot....Kinda nice its all getting paid on points. I guess one perk of living at IHG hotels for work...

We did same thing but with Hamptons. All but one we could use points. From work trips and stuff. We are you in Ontario. Have son and good buddy up in Barrie.

Shelburne. About an hour south west of Barrie.

I may be the only one, but I HAD a room booked at the Holiday Inn Express in Racine, WI. Just an FYI, they called me saying they were changing brands to a Country Inn; however the new rate would be $200/night. No thanks!

She went on to say they are building a new HIE behind the current one, but did not know when it was scheduled for completion. We plan on staying with a friend that night and this was a backup plan, I'll find another backup plan now.

Yeah, when I looked at my reservation it looks a lot more expensive than it was when I booked it.
Can you let us know if you find an alternative place? Thanks
