Haha. 99% of Drag Weekers are behind schedule.

I'm not even registered this year and I'm behind schedule!

I'm about 2-3 weeks behind my schedule using Squirrel's rule of being done by July.

Cars "done", have to finalize tune, take it to the track, lol, i dont even know what it will run.

I'm freaking out about the rest of it....i still have to make a hitch, modify the harbor freight trailer and modify the car trailer to carry the mustang.

Last fall I decided to give DragWeek a go seeing as it's close to home. Against better judgement I thought it would be great to finally build my Malibu I've owned for 5 or so years. The 25.5 cage, backhalf, and front suspension are done and now I'm neck deep in interior sheetmetal work. Basically 90 days out and I still have to build the engine/trans, fully plumb, wire, and build a turbo system. It's kind of depressing really, but I'll keep on pushing forward.

I didn't register either for other reasons. Plus I am sort of glad I didn't; I wanted to make the field of 32 for the bracket final. I will make it though.

Haven't touched the 41 since October, new engine is finished, but not installed, not been on a track yet this year, and the next 30 days wont have any fun time on the car either.
So......yep, I'm going, and I am nowhere close to being "ready".

I tried to intentionally get a low wait list number only to find weeks later my phone never sent the e-mail. First and only time I've ever had that happen. Go figure. Shame too, as it's looking I'm going to be able to take a well deserved break from work the second half of September.
