      Sure thing Jason!!

Day 6! Thunder Valley! We felt good about racing at TVRP because we have been there many times. Jake made 4 passes, the best of which was a 14.24 @ 95. I noticed a drip under the diff and slid under for a looksie. The pinion seal was leaking a bit. I had been noting some deceleration noise coming from back there but wasn't sure what it was exactly. I think our 8.8 may soon need a rebuild. We turned in our slip, got our route sheet, loaded the car and drove to the local Oreilly's. I added some gear oil to it and then we went to Pizza Hut to eat and to trace the route on our maps.

The drive was largely uneventful (we did accidentally drive 40 miles or so with our hazards on... ) and not overly hot, but it did take 7 hours. There were a couple of boo boo's on the route sheet, but since we had paper maps, we figured them out fairly easily. Jake has driven every step of the way. I really expected him to not want to drive the whole time but he has surprised me!

We arrived here around 8pm. Tomorrow is the last day and we race 3-9!

        Day 7! The final day!

We had a lazy morning today. I finally got up, went downstairs and piddled with the car. The vacuum advance has been hanging up so I worked on that, but was not successful. Boo. Checked the timing, backed the car up on the ramps and slid under for a quick look around. Everything looked fine after 1400 miles and 21 1/4 mile passes.

Jake finally went up and made a pass andn1320 talked to him again while in the lanes. 14.52 @ 94. A little slower than we hoped, but hey we have a slip to turn in!! With weather threatening, he went back up, launched, heard a loud clunk and aborted the run. I think it was the driveshaft banging the driveshaft loop. We would have like to make some more runs, but they had the buildings open and were telling everyone to put their cars inside.

We parked in the building where the taco dinner and awards ceremony was to be held. Matthew Frost had to leave to race a no prep in Topeka, so BS's own Chad Reynolds did the honors. Chad did a great job and really captured the spirit of this event. When he came to the Unlimited class he even took time to tell a little about Jake making his first passes, and building the car with his little brother. It was freakin cool!! Made a dad proud!!!

The rain subsided a little after the ceremony was over and we managed to extract our car from the building. We loaded it and headed to thw hotel.

Man. This event is. The. Best.

        The end.

Looked like an awesome week. It looks like it really captured the feel of my first drag week(2012) with the not so crazy amount of cars and more camaraderie. I can tell you are one proud dad, congrats on the great week!

You two looked like you were having a blast.Carlos was impressed with the way Jake handled what happened on that pass. Glad I could send him your way so he could talk to him.His main was concern was talking to him.Hes a class act.On a more serious note please buy some T-top seals.Damned things been leaking for years.LOL.

It's great to see you out racin again. It looks like you guys had a blast. I am thinking about doing rmrw instead of dragweek this year or maybe both.
PS. I drove with your group on dragweek that started in Tulsa, I had the eagle talon pulling the trailer, gave up on that and have been doing it with a twin turbo fourth gen I built since then.

You actually mean you been driving the turbo fourth gen that has to let out early because it's too fast!!

RMRW is great. I loved it. Hoping to do it again this year!
