Wow. Pack your jets. (or laptop!)
At HPT it can crank up to 3000' DA in a hurry. Elevation matters less than the weather; but that late in the fall things have calmed down a bit, usually.

Amarillo's DA was in the lower 6000's last time I was out there.
Covered ;D What's a 6,000ft DA? 90kPa? I've seen 76kPa here, and that's just when I happen to be looking :P Now if only my tune was nuts on :P I got the summer
not trying to mess up the thread.. but im new to the whole drag week.. do you guys usually reserve motel rooms for every day at the seperate tracks? or do people wing it and just find whatevers open?

EFI won't do much for you when you encounter the prevailing headwind at Heartland Park. That time of year, expect 20-25 mph headwinds.
Just so you guys know, there is a Super 8 Motel about 2 minutes from the track iffin' you are wishing to make reservations.
Although I have never been on DW, I believe there will be a list of hotels from Hot Rod sometime. I will probably try to stay at the one on their list or one very nearby it. I'd do reservations unless you just like to roll the dice and hotwire one.
HotRod has a list of Host Hotels. Some try to stay there some dont.Topeka as long as you stay along the Wanamaker Corridor you will be OK.The track Ron mentioned is a good one.Topeka,Amarillo,Tulsa should not have a problem finding a room.Great Bend is the smallest town we visit but I dont think that should be a problem.I always like to have reservations so I dont have to serch for a room.
