I look forward to meeting all of you guys. I am going to be at both Topeka stops for sure, and probably at Great Bend, too.
It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Reading in my new Hot Rod Magazine...."Hot Rod Drag Week 2011, if your reading this you should already be registered" or something to that effect. Web site still has 2010 info. Huh....

Has anyone figured out how to use Google or something to find all the giant concrete animals, lumberjacks etc. between the sites? This would be a way get a jump on the likely route and whether we need hip waders or off road tires or survival gear.

I know there's all kinds of funky stuff around amarillo. There's some eccentric millionaire down there who put up all kinds of stuff like "cadillac ranch", "legs", and "combine city" (google it). Amarillo also has palo duro canyon, and between tulsa and topeka is the little house on the prairie. VERY likely that the little house on the prairie would be the stop, its 1/2 way between the two on the direct route. Done that drive a couple times with a hangover, on the way home from the hard rock casino in tulsa (which is very near the tulsa strip and likely where I will be staying that night).

Get bored? Download google earth, placemark the dragstrips, and scan the highways in between looking for attractions. Just look for places where people have posted lots of pictures up and that's probably a good indicator

Combine City is cool, but luckily has nothing to do with Stanley Marsh.

What's funny is I was driving by Marsh's house today and thought, "there has to be some way to incorporate his lunacy into DW". lol
