  • A statement from Steve Roth Race Cars

HOT ROD is “where it all began,” as the first magazine to cover the hot rod culture. Since that time, HOT ROD has evolved into a brand devoted to everything from hot rods to restomods, barn finds to project cars and everything in between.

I don't get on here too often as I like to keep a low profile but, I want it to be known that I am no longer associated with Denny Terzich, Pro Rides or Project Sick Seconds. Furthermore, I won't ever be a part of any project that Pro Rides or Mr. Terzich is involved with. As difficult as this decision was I can no longer put aside my LOYAL customers and REAL friends to be lured into another financially losing project, just for a broken promise of an 'opportunity' to drive in Drag Week and a 'mention' in Hot Rod. This in no way reflects negatively on Hot Rod, Drag Week or the competitors. I want to say I am proud and honored to have been part of the greatest test of fast street car racing. All you owners who have built and raced YOUR OWN cars and survived Drag Week are what Drag Week SHOULD be about. I hope to compete in Drag Week again in the future, not at the same level, but it will be in a car I built, I drive and I own. Steve Roth, Steve Roth Race Cars.

Why does Terzich need a hired shoe? .... Rules need to reflect that you actually own the car your competing with.

It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

                I love this stuff

                The way i see DW
This is a timed speed event for a standing start quarter mile.
Supposedly for a Street Driven Car/Truck.
Not really a Drag Race, no side by side (except Daily Driver)
A Good Reaction TIme is not needed
and from what i have noticed is never achived
u go when u want to, early, late doesnt matter

Way I see it..... Brian Wilson or James Taylor could have driven the 55..... and since I still don't know who owned that car.... I guess It really doesn't matter....
