From here there doesn't look like anything on the track, what was it?

Doc said there was moisture at the big end, but that was also the first pass where we truly set the tuneup on Kill mode. Except for a few degrees of timing pulled out the first .3 seconds (let's the car get it's weight transferred before obliterating the tires), the tune was all in.

But I can see it blacktracking all the way down (especially in Kyle's video filmed from the rear)... I'll happily write it off as "too much power" if the track really was dry :-)

The track was wet, it pulled water up from it real bad, and at end the puff of what might look like smoke at the end is water he was the first one down track after the rain. Its pretty cool to know what all is going on, when he gets to the burn out box he flips a switch that limits the burnout RPM then he hits the line lock starting in second so it does not kill the sprag in the trans then high as quick as he can then lets off the line lock at the end of the burnout he flips the switch off, Tom reminds him of the switch thats the head nod and finger flick, then lines up and stages the car at 4500 ( or what ever we think the track can take) and puts on the trans brake in 1st gear, puts it on the two step at 4500 and then lets off as soon as he lets off it kills ( on this run) 6* of timing for 3 tenths of a second it starts ramping it back in and its all back at the end of the three tenths of a second (on this run) The first day we had 15* out for 1.5 seconds because the tires had went away.

3500 lbs car 1.26 60' 9.12 at 142 the car runs right at 148 normally. Thats getting it for a N/A 555 street car! Its got a 8 in it. we pulled timing that run on the launch to keep it from banging the wheelie bars real hard. 6* for 3 tenths of a second on the hit.

haha, you should of heard Chad blathering about Larry's tune in the motel parking lot in Tulsa (when there were THREE timing lights hooked to the engine, LOL).
                          Escaped on a technicality.

There is a lot more to driving than hitting the loud pedal, and making a pass this fast in these kind of cars with the power and chassis set ups.
