Well, the best plans of mice and men...
My truck (plan A) has a problem that I can't seem to fix and will not make it. Plan B went camping with my wife and daughter, so plan C is my HHR daily driver. I am going to be the slowest car out there, but I will have AC and I will be there!Why think when you can be doing something fruitful?

Day late and dollar short... I can't see getting done in time so, I am having a beer and checking all the junk I did 12 years ago, finishing up what I can and not worrying about it. If not done by midnight, I'm throwing the towel. I don't see it getting done, but weirder shit has happened.
New plan for me is to take the Lightning, but I won't make the whole journey. We'll show up tomorrow about 6p, hopefully get to meet lots of folks, run down to Ennis and watch there, and come back to Denton to finish the car while I'm on vacation. I'll hopefully have it legal by Friday and be back to Tulsa with the Mustang which I can't even begine to describe how big of a win that is for me.
I'm sending as much positive energy as I can to everyone who's tying up loose ends today and for everyone travelling - I'd say I'm crushed (I am) but I'm not (really not) becuase of the progress Monica and I made over the last couple of weeks. I'll get to see y'all off, get some of my own shtuff under control, and have some time and maybe a little bit of money to unwind from everything that has been going on lately.
My personal goals were so close to being met... the big one will still be achievable, and that's meeting and hanging out with you lunatics for a couple of days!Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

ok guys, I sure could use some advice. Only have first and second under load. if I could ever get third, I might have a little better mph not to mention et. Running a th400 with 2600 converter. just pulled the pan and found nothing unusual. got a new modulator to change but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. It ran great down the highway. Am considering going anyway even if I only run a sudo power glide in a 400 skin.Drag Week 2012 (wet paint and no transmission but finished) Drag Week 2013 Daily Driver finished in middle of pack (again) Drag Week 2014 #56 of 126 Daily Drivers.
