booo this news blows. Kyle and Chad are definitely part of the fabric of this event! The biggest difference will come in them covering this if they don't have anyone on their team that is completely infected with the DW sickness like the rest of us, including Kyle and Chad. If they don't get it, the story they tell won't be worth a hoot unless David is doing all the commentary.

I'll also be sporting my new BS shirts/ hat and will have 1320 and BS stickers on car and trailer.

I echo the concerns of it turning into a scripted bunch of nonsense that delays staging and runs. Hopefully they're just looking to document the coolness of the event. It's hard enough making it from site to site with any car troubles or weather delays. With a bigger turnout this year, delays caused by manipulation of the track operations to get the perfect shot of one of the top 10 cars, have the potential of putting major hurt to getting everyone through on their passes by the cutoff each day and departure times. I hope Hotrod kept control of operations in the contract.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and having another blast this year. Screw negativity...it can be a self fulfilling emotion.

Unfortunatly you could smell this one coming when HRM announced that there would be a Hot Rod TV segment filmed at DW this year. I watched the episode covering the open road race from Nebraska a few days ago and that kind of package is what we'll likely see. It wasn't BangShift/1320 Video but it wasn't bad.

It won't be the same without Chad and Kyle and Walt. And, Joe and a lot of guys who won't make it this year. But, it will be the same challenge it always is and there will be new folks to meet and old friends to catch up with and the tone will be set by the participants. Let's make this year one of the best ever.

That sounds like a perfectly legit interpretation of the rules to me!

Maybe we just need to covertly enter a dually in DD as a trailer puller MULE! Hook 7 or 8 trailers to it and hit the road.

Don't even get me started on the "rules" of drag week. Swiss cheese is what they are, but the race director has final say so it doesn't matter. Oh, and the parts of the rules that aren't the holes in the cheese stop people from doing things that have no affect on performance, but most certainly would make things safer. Go figure.

How about a Rental truck pulling a car on a trailer, pulling a truck, pulling a trailer.
