I will. Drag week is seven days of torture,not eight. Easy to change the competition rules when its not YOUR $35,000 engine to destroy. Total BS sell out to tv versus the racers, who this event is, or used to be, about.

If I was leading my class by the slimmest of margins today, and lost it tomorrow, I think I would be highly pissed.

I am not however, but I do think it was a decision made 100% as an attempt to salvage a nail biter finish for the tv show. I know the DD guys are probably happy to have another shot at it.

I also think that random rule changes has led to the demise of many a racing series.

I want to run tomorrow because it's a great track, I just don't think it's fair to do something like this seemingly spur of the moment w/o having it spelled out in the rules when every one signed up. Some guys are not able to stay an extra day, and I think that sucks.

Well something similar to this happened on the last day of DW 05 at Martin, MI. and the overwhelming majority voted to wait out the rains and we finished it up that day so perhaps a vote would have been the way to handle it. I really can't imagine this group of Hard Core Racers not wanting to wait around for day 5?

It rained out last year too and there was no option given to vote or to wait till the next day.

Last year felt unfinished. Not sure if Topeka gave the option of a next day race as Tulsa has. I personally don't care about the TV show because it will miss the a lot of the DW vibe by focusing on the unlimited class( not taking away anything from Larry,Jeff,Joe and the others)...

I am not going to insert myself into this debate, but I will say that in any discussions whether to continue or not, there was literally zero seconds of talking about the tv show. I didn't make the decision, but being close to the situation, I can tell you with 100% truth TV wasn't ever brought up.

If results are taken from days prior without running last day it disregards the efforts for the final day, its a travesty to not do a final.
