I recall that. I just don't think they've done enough to address the problem. I understand that not all agree with me.

Buy the last one. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Otherwise go immediately to jail.

          thread hijack anyone?

The rollbar rule is what it is. There's no need to bitch about it, you just need to figure out how to build one that meets the rule and lets you use the car the way you want to use it. I did that. No biggie.

The reserve on the fresh build mustang is probably 5 digits

I'm still waiting for some pics of your builds, then we'll all know what you're capable of. Mine are on my web page, link below.

I know it's Bangshift, but... how did we get to rollbars from here? (I know, I shoved a rail road car off the track too.)

If they're gonna bracket the DD's , start early enough to finish... and Jeff is on the money. The HotRod class was a take the stripe deal. I hope they keep that class, and I loved the winner's car. RV cam and 12's gets a jacket - Awesome. I really do love that car, hammer simple and pretty quick for what it's got. I asked after I saw it run... it's light.

(just looked that up, it's Tom, right? 79Camaro on here.)

The fast DD's were easily real DD's, an 11.0 is respectable in my world. I'm not the bracket race kind of guy but if that's where I'm gonna toss my hat in, that's what I'll have to learn to do.

I'm not sure my odds go up any in a class, if I were only in it for a jacket, I'd look at something that didn't have 90 cars in it. Something with maybe 1 other entrant. I'm not sure I'll pass a 10.0 physical, so there's that to think about.

I've wondered about the 10.80 cutoff, can somebody shed some light on that number?

If you run faster than a 10.80 and dont have the Nads to enter a Heads up Class, then David will find them for you. Its just a number he picked

I'd love to enter a heads up class... to me its a easier class BECAUSE
you dont have to race against another car.... just make it fast/quick
BUT I cant fall into the rules.... if its a sub 10.0 I cant get a license
so that right there is my down fall... let alone the chassis rules...
so for me its 1 class only if I want to be competitive and thats DD
but in that class you have to bracket race which is 2 cars running
(the only class that runs 2 cars against each other)

None of the classes run against another car, I say its way harder to run the best ET at aeach track by far then fender race. In a bracket race your not trying to out run the guy next to you, your trying to not breakout. You can cut the better light and lose 10 differrent ways. Its racing but not racing the other guy as some guys seem to think. At least if the other guy knows what he is doing too.

You still have to get to the line first... without breaking out

I raced another car every day. Slimbo5 (great viewpoint on one of his 9 sec runs), James and Seered (great viewpoint on one of his 8 sec runs), Swede and the Baja Chase Truck (woulda been side by side, but my t-brake aided .039 light gave me a car length cushion).

Yes you had a car next to you but it didnt matter who got there first...
specially if you werent in the same class... but it would be cool if you
were in the same class(unless your loosing) .... lol

true....noone on day 1-4 is racing the other guy unless it is for grudge......as far as jeffs take on bracket racing.....very few folks are successful "fender racing".the best bracket racers run all out or all out on a throttle stop.it is only way to be consistant.i always dial. 01-.02 faster than mine will run...

not sure why this keeps going on,or why i replied.lol
