I think z-max would be a great start and finish track. Hot rod could do a four wide of unlimited cars for there magazine article. Not to mention I just want to race there.

Personal opinion is z-max would be neat, but I honestly think it's too far East to start this event. The midwest has been great for car counts and I'm sure HR will not ignore that fact.

I'd bet that holds true. There has also been a general tradition of having a repeat track from the previous year's event. I think speculation on this topic is fun but doesn't seem to influence the decison much.

I agree Bill. I was going for lets just try to find 4 1/4 mile tracks that has 1000-1500 miles of travel between them. It is not easy as it seems.

^^^ Might survive a bit easier with no AC on that route

^^^^^^^^^^ I had to put on a jacket just looking at that route. Would the snow be melted by Sept?

Being from NC I think thats the best idea I have ever heard! Maybe Hotrod could start a Three year rotation East Coast, Mid West, West Coast, repeat.

I remember giving my dad a hard time about bringing a jacket this year. I ended up buying a sweatshirt for the last two days.

I broke down and spent $30 on a Tulsa hooded sweatshirt.... but it's a momento of the week now, it was worth it. cool graphic.

It's all the same to me where it'll be run. I'll fly into the nearest airport, pick up the rental and off to the track we go. My only concern would be that if it's too far north, the weather might play a bigger part. We get enough rained out events as it is over here in Holland, so I'm counting on good weather all week. Friday was a bit of a disappointment this year, but luckily it got moved to Saturday.

This would be close to home but its normally warm down south. 2nd week in sept could have temps in the 40s. up in MN.
