All this talk of defiling Fox Bodies with "LESS" V8s and SBCs makes me feel like I've wandered onto the set of "Pinks" . . . or maybe a "Honey Boo Boo" meth-lab-trailer-park sort of neighborhood.
Of course, had GM made a sufficient, surviving supply of light RWDs, the whole notion of Chevy-powered Mustangs would seem unnecessary.
And had myopic, non-Bangshifting beancounters not run Ford, perhaps it wouldn't have mishandled so many huge opportunities to reverse brand loyalties over the past three decades (but then Ford avoided bankruptcy and Federal takeover, while "Government Motors" did not).
As it is, the awful spectre of cheapo, bastardized, GM-powered Fords is likely to inflict us for some time. That makes a hard-running Ford-in-a-Ford all that more impressive.

Truth be known, If,,,,, IF a "Max Effort Ford" in a fox was built it would dust the engines run in that class right now i a Fox.2007 SBN/A Drag Week Winner & First only SBN/A Car in the 9's Till 2012

Jake - I may very well have a perfect candidate for you at my shop this weekend.
If I don't flip it for a few bucks in the next few weeks to help fund the falcon, the powertrain will come out of it and the interior is already spoken for to a friend.
If you want the shell (red 89 GT with a little rust in the quarters) come get it... I'll even help you load it, and give you the title. There's always something new to learn.
