I gotta believe DF&Co. want to see something new and different. I was trying to think of something that would tie into this year (e.g. anniversary or some obscure piece of drag racing history). The first east coast dragstrip closed as of last year, so that idea didn't pan out, but the Englishtown schedule is open the entire DW13 schedule. No real clue here...

Captain Bruab:What's he going to do, sail into Bangshift.com, pop the hatch, and say "Here it is"?

Adm. Chad: It might be just that simple, yes.

And . . . no . . . I will race an M211 truck in unlimited! ... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state. Do they let you do that?

Captain Bruab: On Drag Week? I suppose. (wink, wink)

                          Capt. Bangshift: No papers?

Outsider: Wait a minute. Fuel status? You have a reserve, don't you?

Helicopter Pilot: Yes, sir. I've got a ten minute reserve... but I'm not allowed to invade that except in time of war.

Outsider: Listen, mister, if you don't get Bangshifters that freakin schedule, that just might be what you'll have! You got me? Now you have ten more minutes' worth of fuel, we stay here ten more minutes!
                          Escaped on a technicality.

                            8. The Summit Racing Series ET Finals, Topeka, KS must be a really big deal (lots of tracks closed for it)

                            7. The Summit Racing Series ET Finals, Topeka, KS is such a big deal, Heartland Park doesn't list it in their schedule http://www.hpt.com/index.php?option=...nts&Itemid=255
The NHRA Summit Racing ET Finals are a HUGE event. When this event is at Heartland Park Topeka, it will draw well over 600 racers along with thier familes and crews. There isn't an empty motel room in town for that event.

And let's just say that Heartland Park's website leaves a LOT to be desired. They have been fighting with that damned website since they switched to the "new & improved" format. It is an absolute PITA to navigate...
It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

And it would have worked too, except for those meddling kids (@ Bangshift.com)

Hmmm . . . NHRA can run a show with 600 racers, yet considering only 200 for DW triggers the apocalypse . . . .
