Lets face it, I wish they would just take all the prizes out of it, a Week of test and tune would be more fun. I for one don't race against anyone, But wanting rules skewed for one guy or another defeats the whole thing. Cool cars going down the Road and the guys that do it with enough balls to leave the car trailer behind.
I agree with you to a point......but your opinion is skewed. You have one of the light cars.....AND....a 15 degree motor. It's no wonder you have dominated.

You say that you are "just in it to try to make it 5 days".......but your sig speaks differently Jeff. Just an observation....

Lets face the facts..........NOBODY goes drag racing hoping to lose. We all have Q16 in our blood, and will throw shit out the window in a tight heads up race. I love spending the week with great guys, and I can honestly say that there isn't one guy on Drag Week that I don't have a ton of respect for. I love all of the cars and the people.......for different reasons of course.

Like I said earlier......I don't expect there ever to be a weight rule. And if I am still competitive enough......Ill bring the 35,000 dollar N/A small block.......but in a 2700lb fox. Then we'll hear some bitching.......I am sure of that.

I'm not very competetive by nature, but even I think there should be some reconition for the quickest cars and that is the competition. Crossing my fingers on trying to shave off a full second this year. Only shaved .35 off in 2012 from 2011
      Escaped on a technicality.

Jake, yes its lighter than yours, but its no Mustang. You chose to bring what you do. You have what would be 3 times the money in your engine as I do , IF I MADE ONE JUST LIKE IT. I don't cry about what your engine costs do I? Do we all have to build the same car? You want a weight rule, ok lets say the Minimum weight is 2700 lbs, would that be better or does a Mustang have to bolt in 1000 lbs to weigh what you do?

Lets get David to Make a Claimer Class, That would be right up his alley, Claim the whole car for 5000.00
2007 SBN/A Drag Week Winner & First only SBN/A Car in the 9's Till 2012
First to run in the .90s .80s and .70's in SBN/A
        2012 SSBN/A Drag Week Winner First in the 9.60's/ 9.67 @ 139 1.42 60'
2013 SSBN/A Drag Week, Lets quit sand bagging, and let it rip!

I'd be willing to bet, starting from scratch, you couldn't build your engine for less than 15,000. Unless you were using used parts. That being said, mine cost 20,000. Get rid of the fancy crank, you are at 17,000. Used parts......far less.

Like I said earlier, I don't ever see a weight limit happening. We'll just have to wait and see where the class goes I guess. Makes no difference to me.....honestly.

By the way.......the claimer rule is dirt track stuff, and is quite frankly silly. Never heard of it in drag racing.

NHRA Prostock......max cube, yep we have that, minimum weight, nope we are missing that. No mention of, well this guy spent more on his crankshaft so I should be able to buy his engine for 800bucks....

OK,.............Jeff himself has gained 50 pounds just to keep people from hating on his program. He would never add weight to a vehicle.

                        sorry, wrong James.

I was so excited to make a pass at IRP in 2006 (boat week) but mother nature said NO. I will consider making a 1320 ft run on the hallowed ground that is Indy to be a bucket list item. On a side note I do know of racers that went up and did burnouts at Indy in '06 just for that exact reason.
