went for a cruise last nite and set the speedo 70mph is around 2100 rpm.. 315x60x15 and 3.89 gear with .70 overdrive and lockup converter

Dale mine was 2850 rpm at 75 mph and 3100 rpm at 85 mph
in OD with the 4.10 gear... it was 50 rpm less than my calculationsComment

3.72 gears, TH400 no o/d, 33 tall mud tires, 5000 stall ati tree master, 65mph @ 2999rpm
Should have had a o/d tranny, but only had 400's laying around. hmmmm....cruising the 1700 miles to the event will be around 2200 at 75, but after the rearend gear swap in BG we're looking at 3000 at 75. And the car is a slug, I don't shift into high until I'm right near the traps.My fabulous web page
