A class for factory appearing cars like F.A.S.T. cars would be neat to see. Probably not much interest there from those guys though.

If someone showed up with a flat steel floorpan in PS/NA and DF told 'em they couldn't run, but let Miller run with a flat steel floorpan, then perhaps there'd be a valid unfairness argument (such as when "Generalissimo Turk" barks a lane closing to DDs in the open "free-for-all" session (a/k/a "garbage time") but then allows class cars run).
But DF, for better or worse, has made a judgment call that flat steel provides no performance advantage in PS/NA. And with the prevailing majority recognizing that DW is DF's "baby," we've pretty much all consented to him calling the shots.
At the end of the day, most rule books have something like this, and this is right outta the DW rules..
•Vehicles with rule variations may be classified at the race director’s discretion.
That SHOULD be the end of story, but it won't be. lolLast edited by TheEngineWorks.com; September 17, 2013, 02:17 PM.

Yeah, sure. I live out here, I know how it is. I am just amazed at the machinery when I head east. It's unbelievable.
There probably are a bunch of capable cars in socal, but I sure don't see them when I'm tooling around on the freeway there in my old rides. My fabulous web page

I think it's already been covered, but how about TIMELY email notifications to attendees?
The "write us a novel" form that HOT ROD sent out, was sent only TWO days before tech started. Luckily I had a mobile device to check my email and noticed in time to download and print the form when I arrived in BG, but what about those who couldn't?
A weeks notice would have been a lot easier. Other than the communication issue, I wouldn't change a thing.Last edited by AdvAutoBob; September 19, 2013, 06:43 AM.DW2013 - DNF (Gateway - trans failure)

In years past, you were handed the "write a novel" form in the tech lines and guys were scrambling to find a pen. hahaLife is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

I thought the event was run very well, especially considering how much of a mess something like this must be to organize. My only suggestion would be to have a quick, 5-10 minute drivers meeting at like 8:30 every day, and explain to everyone where we get timeslips, and where return roads are... 200+ racers on unknown tracks can become disorganized and dangerous quick. The timeslip situation at St. louis was no fun and everyone was driving in circles for a while trying to find them.-Jeff
