Pond boy would be a pump jockey and that SURE as hell doesn't sound right.

      • May we suggest a stay at a fine B& B located in Saugatuck, MI?

        • I'll bet that's a nice place.

But then, isn't staying at a B & B basically just paying to stay at someone's house?

Dates: Drag Week starts Monday....this coming Monday.

Track 1 -- The landing area inside the Death Star

Track 2 -- The runway at the end of Two Lane Blacktop

Track 3 -- In the parking lot of the Miller Brewery where Irwindale used to be

Track 4 -- Between the shipping containers at the old Lions Drag Strip

Track 5 -- The Oklahoma guys secret lair

Any suggestions for staying out of the doghouse and still going on dragweek?

Have flowers show up every day I'm gone for dragweek? Arrange a weekend get away before or after?

I offer FREE marriage counseling to all my Drag Week buddies..........but I must warn you, you get what you pay for.
Drag Week 2012 (wet paint and no transmission but finished) Drag Week 2013 Daily Driver finished in middle of pack (again) Drag Week 2014 #56 of 126 Daily Drivers. (getting closer to the 32)

                        • Think there are a few that need counseling in general. Not just in marriage. IIRC one couple had DW as their Honeymoon.Best way to insure you go on DW is not to go one year, take vacation that week, watch the simulcast and pout.I did that in 2009.Been every years since.Wife said something about I was an ass in 2009.Dont remember.LOL.

^^^ is why I missed 2010. After getting totally sucked into the life obsession that is Dragweek my first time in 2009, I didn't go the next year because of our 10th anniversary. It worked out though since I was able to go for the next 3 years.

Bums me out that I will likely miss the 10th anniversary event unless I can schedule a biz trip close by and hitch a ride in somebodies passenger seat for the week. I already scheduled the time off as usual...just in case.

                                Bahahahahaha, excellent.

crap. My flux capacitor doesn't come back until Tuesday... and I'd probably get stuck at track 3 and miss Lions. Area 51 sounded cool though!
