New car, if Hot Rod approves the modifications I have to make.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.

I found a killer deal on some Moser 33 spline axles w/ 5/8" studs and cclip eliminators so I will be upgrading from the Motive 28 spline axles I have been running for the last few years. That will be a two fold improvement because the housing I will be using has 3.90 gears. I have been wanting to switch to the 3.90's for a while now (currently running 3.55's).

Does that begin to get your SLR too high for your weight? More of a Drag Radial than a bias ply issue, but worth thinking about. You'll want that cam change then too, I'm thinking for a bit more top end RPM. I may be going from 3.89's back to 3.70's or 3.5x's myself. Depend on what class I end up running.

I don't think so with a 28" tire. The car has always been slow to the 330 and watching the tach on the gopro over and over and over and over seems to make me think it needs a little more gear to help get it in the meat of the powerband quicker. I do think the gears and cam will compliment each other though.

For the 3rd year in a row, I am going to attempt to step up from a care-free, freeloading Trunk Monkey to a responsible, work-my-butt-off, pay-my-own-freight, drive-my-own-car Drag Week contestant. Is that really a step up?

So while waxing the old car, I decided to build a new one, hopefully I finish it on time.

I'm stepping up to a turbo ls powered fox body. Now all I need is a crash course in using hp tuners cause I don't know what the hell I'm doing when it comes to tuning a late model car. I'm a carb and distributor guy. Guess its time to learn new things. I'm still a month from firing it up so at least I got 4+ months to learn.
