  • Please leave your 16 second beater at home!

With hot rod offering no refund it sounds like some people are going to show up in their regular slow family sedan. Yea it sucks, but get with the program, if you weren't ready when you bought the ticket, that is your problem! Show up and watch if you must but please don't make passes in your slow minivan! No body wants to see that! Suck it in, take the loss and move over to let the real cars go by! Sucks to suck!

My "backup" car ran 12.21 at DW '13, so you're not writing about me. But even if you were, IDK! "You pays your money and you makes your choice" -- Aldous Huxley (quoting an old showman's saying). Guys like Nesabo have just as much right to experience DW as Larson, Lutz and Bailey.

BigG is really posting this because he hopes to show up on Sunday and get in, and I hope he does. After all, it's really about going and having a great time with some of the neatest people in the world.

Thanks John, But its getting a little wore out, and I would like to be there in the Mustang. I bought the damn thing for DW, but ran out of Talent, Money, and Time, in that order. Mainly the fist 2. Still on the fence if I want to hitchhike out and see if anyone wants a co-pilot.

Kinda funny story, and Sad. Since I live in the RUST belt, the cougar gets put up every winter. Found I place that stores nice cars, BMW, Vettes, Hot Rods, etc, not junk. The owners heads south for the winter, so he had a guy named Dan watch the place all winter. So in the spring I call Dan to get my car out, leave a vmail. Do not hear back from Dan for a few days, Phone finally rings, Its Dan's brother. He tells me that Dan has died. So when my phone number came up it said "White Cougar", His brother then says, "Did not know if it was women or a car owner, figured what the heck I call and see!" Figuring the guy just lost his brother I tried not to laugh to loud.

Cougars can be blowers (or suckers if you like)

Not a chance! I'm pretty sure my race car is not going to be ready, so I'm driving my daily driver even if I have to just "break the beams". I paid to race and I'm going to race. HotRod is to blame if there are other DD's like mine doing the same thing.
