I've had mine in for 10-years, hauled all kinds of crap (sometimes literally) and it still looks like new !

got the bed box painted black and mounted in the bed. it looks better black instead of aluminum. we'll have to see how long the paint will last.

It's all in the prep work alot of the newer cars have aluminum panals on them and the paint holds up fine.

They turned out nice. They sit a lot higher than the old ones did so that is going to take a little getting use to. I haven't really driven the car anywhere since installing them so I can't say how they will be on longer trips. May be able to get some pics this weekend.

Neighbor gave me a factory AM/FM/CD player out of a few year old F150.

Step one: disassemble the entire dash just to get to the radio.

Step 2: Plug in the CD player and check to make sure it will work. It does

Step 3: Find out that Ford, in their infinite wisdom, changed the mount holes,
even though both radios fit into the same size hole.
I can make it work by drilling new holes.

Step 4: Find out that even though every manufacturer, for the past million years,
has had the same style antenna plug, Ford deemed it necessary to suddenly change
it for 2014. (insert Ford joke here)

Step 5: Put everything back together. Waste of time.

i semi tried. on a standing start, hit the gas, it bogs off the line. i think i need to brake, bring up the rpm to build boost, then let her rip. i jumped on it from a role. again, at lower rpm there isn't alot there, but as you keep your foot into it and let the turbos wind up, it starts to get down the road quickly. i need to experiment more, but i still only have about 1100 miles on it and i am kind of still treating it like a new born.

took the truck out today. pulled out in front of a truck. the truck wasn't the problem. the car pulling out from behind the truck, changing into my lane, at a higher than legal speed, was. i found out that my new truck does, in fact, has some power.
