Man, I had to look that one up ....
Absinthe is historically described as a distilled, highly alcoholic (45%?74% ABV) beverage.[1][2][3][4] It is an anise-flavored spirit derived from herbs, including the flowers and leaves of the herb Artemisia absinthium, commonly referred to as "grande wormwood". Absinthe traditionally has a natural green color but can also be colorless. It is commonly referred to in historical literature as "la f?e verte" (the Green Fairy).

Must be like Italian Uzo or Greek Zambuka.

;D
It use to be banned because it was a mind altering drink. It was classified like LSD. But in the last 20 yrs or so it has become legal again in a few states (NOT MANY) I have a guy that growes the herbs that it takes to make it and he is going to send me some so I can try and make it. no steve it is not like either of those, i have never tried it but my father and grandfather use to make it.

Real Absinthe is halucinogenic. The stuff you can buy at stores here won't make you trip. Supposedly Van Gogh was hammered on the stuff when he decided it was a good idea to cut his ear off.
