So Greg, are you saying you are getting closer to the ground as time goes by?

      • I'm saying Mendy is getting excited seeing me standing in a 3' hole and keeps changing the laser level trying to get it to a 6'. I don't understand way she keeps throwing banana peels around the footer. I've almost slipped and fell in the hole I don't know how many times.

        • I ain't gonna venture a guess on that..
Better get that concrete poured, before you get buried in the footer..gonna put 1 inch of slope in it so the floor drains?

            Blasphemy!!

I HATE slopped floors - it makes it exceedingly hard to do alignments, level the car (side to side) or set ride height when the floor isn't level.

            • I left my floor even except for a 4” gradual slope toward the front door that starts about a quarter of the way in for when I wash it out.

The thing I have going for me is my drive on two post lift is and alignment lift with turn plates plus it will be used for my fab work lift too. To set ride height and it makes a good work bench when doing bodywork too.(I know another reason to hate me).

I have had three shops built and 1/2" slope per 10' on all three and have been very satisfied. I have also had a 4" curb poured around the sides where I could wash the floor without getting the bottom plate wet.

                        • Started work on the garage site today went out this morning and almost started to cry three out of the four side had collapsed and filled the hole with two foot of dirt. So I spent the day hand digging it out just to get back where I started. But I did get it all done now to get a tamper and pack it in. So I can start setting up the forms it's going to rain tonight hopefully it don't fill up with dirt again.
