    Re: Radios on Tour

I have used a CB most years on tour. Will probably have on ethis year also. They have better range than the FRS radios and the truckers/smokies chat on 19 are an added bonus. You can always switch down a channel to talk to one another. If I can hear the CB with the top down then dandd68 should be able to listen in with the windows down.

.. there are pretty good hand-held CB's available these days too.

I may need to get a CB for the smokies. I got my first speeding ticket in 30 years the other day.
It's not the destination, but the journey and the friends you make along the way that counts.

Jim, just save the money and take the lead out of your shoe.

I have to agree with you Leon, but the wife told me no more fun, it is too costly.

Maybe on the phone call list we could list our phone carriers.....that way on weekdays on the tour you chat with those on the same phone carrier for free.............just a thought.

I can add who your provider is if you like, just go to the post for the phone numbers and tell me who it is and I will add it to the list. Also, if you want to add if you have texting or not, I will add that too.

I'll have a 2-way radio along with me. We gotta figure out a channel to have at first.
