Stories from the "GearHead Diner"

We spent the previous weekend at the coast, Pawleys Island, and 3 of the 4 days there I had Shrimp. The Shrimp at the Gear Head Diner was as good if not better than the shrimp at the coast. Not to mention the waffle and home fries the next morning. I expected typical "Diner" food but was very impressed by the quality of everything we ate, and like I said to Vic and Terry....."I'm not just blowing smoke.........." the food was very good. They did a terrific job on decorating the diner with all the car memorabilia. All in all, hanging out with all the Bang Shifters, we had a great weekend. Pictures to follow after the sun goes down tonight.

......oh by the way, some missed the parking lot jam session that began after 2am when "zombie PeeWee" reappeared with his steel guitar.
I left the parking lot at 3am to go to my room and there were still a couple pranksters roaming the parking lot and probably still have red chalk dust under their finger nails.
Who could that be?????

Well, Vic came by the motel at some point in the fray and knocked on the door. It was about 9:30 p.m. thereabouts. I said let's sit outside and drink a beer. So we did. And there was a local there, staying at the motel, and he and Vic had a great long conversation about all of the local characters. I just watched and listened. I had no idea who they were talking about. Vic left, I went to bed.

I wrecked out, bed. 1 a.m., I woke up again. Peeled back the motel curtain to peek at the parking lot , there's NOBODY there. It's all great big lie. NOBODY even stayed at the motel. So, out of curiosity, I went strolling, barefoot and no glasses to see with, I just want to see. Where are all the cars?

Well, there's John and Kathy and Donna and Bob sitting in chairs in the parking lot in FRONT of the building, shutting the place down. John and I had already contracted to make some music beforehand. I said lemme go get my guitar.

John said, "If you do that peewee, you are truly insane." I am, I went and got it. It didn't last long, but it was fun, that jam session. It was long overdue.

And it was a great Jam Session!! Had a great time with everyone. So glad that I came... We needed one more weekend day though. I wanna do it all over again!

I started adding The Gear Head Diner to trip advisor so I could submit a review, but I don't have all the information. If you have a chance, Vic, and or Terri, take a look at adding it so we can submit our stellar reviews!. If that's too much, send me the street and mailing address, phone number, etc etc etc that I need to complete the forms. Its a great place, congrats on a job well started!
