We are coming from California and are debating on whether to trailer to KS or drive the Galaxie the whole way. Who else is doing or considering the extended long haul? And where are you starting?

Lincoln, Neb. This will not be a bad one for us. Personally I wish that we would go west once in awhile. Omaha for me this year...to be honest the "admin" leg to the start and home is all part of the adventure...if you think the car needs to be trailered to the start, well, I wonder if you'll enjoy the tour.Power Tour '16 Long Hauler, '17 Short Haul, West Coast for a few years now...

Really not worried whether the car will make it or not; its more of a time issue. Driving out in a crew cab pickup with all the amenities would be more comfortable and make driving straight through easier. And on the way home same thing. I have friends in KC so leaving the tow rig there would not be a problem. Both my brother an I have families that won't be on this trip so to keep the peace we will be making the trip out an back as quick as possible.
That said we are both leaning toward driving straight through because like you stated that's part of the adventure.Comment
