  • Food on the Power Tour

So here in the UK, different areas have speciality dishes such as Yorkshire Pudding and Lancashire Hot Pot.

Are there state/town specialities in any of the towns that we'll visit that we should be looking out for?

In chicago look for Chicago deep dish pizza.
It's not the destination, but the journey and the friends you make along the way that counts.

If I get the chance I'm going to Miller's Bar on Michigan Ave. near Telegraph in Dearbron, Michigan where I'm originally from. Best damn hamburgers on the planet - see ya soon - Phil

Website says they ranked 8th. in a nationwide GQ contest/survey.

Cool, so we have Kringles and Brats covered at Mikee's

I'm guessing there must be some Chicken in Kentucky worth eating judging by the chap with the white beard that I see all over the UK.

Lot's of fresh fish round the lake?

I'll also be drinking plenty of my favorite soft drink, root beer as we don't get it over here and I have to buy it from a specialist importer of American food!

Great place, I used to meet my dad for lunch there regularly, he worked down the street from there (FoMoCo) even though we'd gone there previously also. It's only a mile or two from where I grew up, Michigan Ave. (US 12) runs all the way from Detroit to Chicago. Too bad we couldn't buy Jeremy a burger and a beer there.

We're going to hit up Ed Debevic's in Chicago on the way through. Never been there but I guess the waiter's/waitress's are all smart asses. Their motto is something like "Eat and get the hell out."

I gotta hit up a Bob Evan's for the Biscuits & Gravy too. Don't have any of them near MN. Oh, and Dunkin Donuts. Cheap, fast, and easy. The way I like my women. ;)

Krispi Kremes are better than Dunkin Donuts. They are lighter and melt in your mouth, especially if you get there when they just bring them out of the oven. We grew up in S. Florida where they use to deliver them to your home. Those were the good ol' days. ;D
