  • Long Haulers event?

Does anyone know yet if they plan on having it on Friday afternoon like last year, or go back to the traditional Saturday morning event?

Saturday meeting was primarily for the LH picture and now that they no longer do that, I'd say the days of the Saturday meeting are no more too.

That's a great time to have the Long Haulers meeting, about the time the Hot Rod Reunion folks will be getting to the hotels, most of them which are on Scottsville Road where we will be exiting the airport. Plus all the hotels in the area are full.

Yes & we got a call from our motel there a couple of days ago. Basically they were looking for a way to jack our rate or get us to cancel. Didn't work but I would like to be able to bail out like last year & drive part-way & get a room somewhere else. The Tri-Five Convention is there in August & every year there are people posting on there that they just got a call that their reservation had been canceled. Usually within the last month before the event. BG motels are such a PITA that it is getting ridiculous.

Since you will be traveling west, you will have some better options than the ones traveling south. Be warned that traveling at night in KY and IL is they are both over populated with deer. Since you have been to the Tri-Five before, you know how busy Scottsville Road is in the late afternoon.

Yes & yes. But we will probably just run up the freeway to Paducah where our older daughter & her family live. Unfortunately though we will probably not get there in time to have dinner with them.
