28..... This is another one of Jim's photos. This was at Boondocks, which was a pretty cool tourist trap with lots of nostalgia, cars collection, Diner/Drive in burgers and small amusement park. Boondocks no longer exists, what was the Studebaker Museum is now a volunteer Fire Department and convenience store.

According to what I was told by the owner, this Dragster is suppose to be the one used in "More American Graffiti".

There is a book titled "Happy Days" The birth and death of Boondocks written by the owner Ron Jorgenson. This book is about Ron's life and his struggles along the way. The book left me wondering Why? If you are not familiar with Boondocks, this story may not appeal to you, however, if you remember the cool roadside stop, this is a fascinating story...…..

28/25 days to go! We are trying to finish up Ken's Mom's estate and things are moving slow. We planned to be leaving today but have to stay a while longer. At least the temps are only in the upper 80's.

ID:	1211614 The Black Hills is home to many car events during the summer, Sturgis has a Camaro Rally, Mustang Rally, Spearfish has the Black Hills Corvette Classic, Custer has a Studebaker show, Deadwood has Cool Deadwood Nites, POCI had their Pontiac GMC Convention in Spearfish and the National Impala Show has been in Spearfish and last year Tesla had a planned gathering in Custer. Local clubs have Rod Runs and cruises as well as visiting groups like us. All of this with out mention of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally that wraps up on Sunday. There's always lots to do in the Hills. Here are a few of Jim Mead's shots during the Camaro Rally Car Show downtown Sturgis. It rained during the show, but a good time was had by all......
