That's what I was thinking. The paint job sucks, and one thing they didn't do was paint the damn gas cap, it's in gray primer, so I'm definitely painting the taillight panel medium blue for now. Trying to think of how to sticker it up, but not overkill. I love the roadkill 69 Firebird, but that's too much. I do want a black 68 on the door in a white circle. I do have an original GM 400 hood. It's the wrong color... but maybe I black it out.

I'm not allowed to put a spoiler on it though, my dad would throw a fit! He can't stand 'birds with Camaro spoilers, and I kinda agree. The ONLY factory installed rear spoiler on first gen bird was installed on the 1969 Trans Am. Dealers did install them on customer's cars and people have added them over the years, but Pontiac never installed a spoiler on any 67/68 bird from the factory.

If you want something funky and unique you don't see often, look for a 1961 Ford Falcon Wagon. Very cool looking little car.

I think I know what this means... are you going to have the "C" word version of my car soon?!?!?

Don't need to, building a 24x40' garage this fall/winter. I was going to almost be able to pay cash for the whole thing until this bird came along. It's OK, it will be a small HELOC I'll pay back in a couple years. I still have enough to at least get the foundation/floor in and walls up in cash. The bad part is the car will have to wait for cool upgrades until my bank account recovers, but it was so clean I couldn't pass it up.

Sorry for all the posts, I can't figure out how to make the multi-post thing work, I have to copy/paste for more than one?

Thanks for all the well wishes/kind words

I'm also not up super late, I'm in Huntington Beach on PST.

I'm picking up the car next Tuesday, I'll post more pics when it's home and daylight.

          Happy 4th everyone!

Late to the game, glad you found the car you wanted. The way things are looking/sounding there might be several new F bodies on tour next year!

Every family should own at least two F Bodies.

Yes, and have a Chevelle station wagon as a second backup. We like to cruise.

I technically have 2 right now, but the rusty 67 is going to have to leave soon.

Its hard to find rust free F body Aspen R/T’s and Volare Roadrunners around here. Plus they didn’t make many of them, less than 500.
