I was going to get the cab painted then later the bed. But now, going to keep building and get it all painted at the same time. Steering is done! Working on brakes now. Then engine cover/doghouse. Fuel tank install, run fuel lines. Wiring and bed install. Then Paint!

Now you've got me wanting to abandon the C-10 and get my Squire ready...

I have always liked the "cop cars" like LTDs and Caprices.

I have gotten old enough to want some creature comforts even in my old stuff. The Studebaker has air conditioning, a decent radio and cruise control. The only time cruise control is used is on the interstate legs. The radio probably won't be used much as my bother is my "navigator" and we don't get to do stuff like this very often, so we will be socializing as we enjoy the Power Tour experience. The air conditioning will be used and not sparingly. The car will be about the same as last year and that is just fine.

Well time is ticking so the 69 is on the surgery table. I want it ready and on standby, plus I need to also put some miles on it to work out any bugs, hadn't been on the road for awhile.Click image for larger version

I've always had a quirk that drove all my buddies crazy as we all grew up, my main focus was make it as fast as I could and worry about pretty later. I actually have two full sail quarter's ready to go on. This was a last minute decision since the Impala is in purgatory. Guess I'm gonna have to learn body work.

I'm actually starting to enjoy the ratty musclecar movement. Make it run, make it drive nice, leave the bodywork alone......

I might drive one of the Buicks this year, maybe even the “project car”.
