And it starts in my backyard! My guess is that it will start at "Restore A Muscle Car" here. I actually used to deliver to them when I worked for the local O'Reillys. Nothing that I am willing to put into print here. Speedway Motors would have more room though. But Lincoln is pretty much open for business though.
Sounds like it does start at the HQ of Restore a MuscleCar... If Timing works out & I run the whole trip, I’ll be sure to look you up when I’m out there. Any suggestions for hotels/areas to avoid? I expect to at least reserve a refundable room soon, just in case it works out. Thx!

Not really anywhere to worry about here. This is a pretty low crime area. Restore is a bit north on Hwy 77 from the very east end of town. Not really any motels out there. 77 will run you about 5-6 miles south to Cornhusker Hwy. There are some cheapy places along there. There has been a few instances of crime at some of those places recently. I would not recommend anything along Cornhusker Hwy. I80 is just a couple miles south of Restore before town & it loops around Lincoln on the north side going west. There are a half-dozen exits heading south into town off of it going west. The N.27th St. exit would be a good one. Several high end motels along there and it probably gets more reasonable the further away from I80 that you get. Also most of big name restaurants in that area. And a Culvers a couple of miles south if you want that. The only Texas Roadhouse is clear south across town though. "O" St, the main drag has long been billed as the longest main street in the U.S. & was the longtime home to Americruise back in the 2,000's. Lots of cruising there but it's a younger, newer car type crowd before the weekend. One thing that the pandemic did was let a couple of younger generations discover cruising. They didn't have anything else to do.
...when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.
