  • What route do you want for a Power Tour?

So if you could have Power Tour run anywhere you wanted, where would it be?

We are all for the route 66 thing, that would be cool.
Hey DF MoKan Dragway is just outside Joplin, MO ;D I am pretty sure it is just a few miles from the old route 66.

Anything that would bring it back to the west coast.

Dallas/Fort Worth to Wisconsin passing through Speedie Bill's as a definate. The next year head towards the rockies. As much as I know the midwesterners hate it, if you put it on either coast it just cuts down on the number of people drastically. You pretty much have to keep it between the Rockies and the Appilactians (sp?) to make it accessible to more people.

The problem with the western states is that everything is too far apart for a one-day drive with time left for "leisure activities" at the end of the day.

Dont know about the west coast as a whole, but the thought of a Highway 1 run south to north would be interesting.Maybe there would be enough population and vendor interest.Maybe incorporate a loop to vegas some how.I am sure what ever you guys would come up with would be the party of the year!

Wouldn't mind going back to the West Coast as long as getting there or back is part of the tour. A north east trip would be nice too, possibly ending up in Maine... If the Power Tour continues the mid-west the way it is (and probably will), this may be our last one.

I think a Maine to Florida would be cool for all the East Coast folks. Otherwise I could go for a Florida to Washington state run. Could be a cool 2 week tour. 8)

There's no such thing as "Too much Power", only too little traction.

East Coast to West Coast, down the middle
(or West to East, doesn't really matter)

A route rotatation each year would be nice. If every few years there was a Highway 1 tour along the Pacific Ocean, I think a good # of East Coast and Mid West runners would make the trip as long as there was enough notice (six to nine months lead time). Same goes for a East Coast haul and a Sea-to Shining Sea tour. I suggest the following rotation:

                              Year 1 Mid-West
                              Year 2 Cali route
                              Year 3 Mid-West
                              Year 4 East Coast route
                              Year 5 Mid-West
                              Year 6 Sea-to Shining route
