That LTD looks really sweet with those wheels.

Unfortunately, with the projects I have going on at home over the next year I highly doubt PT will even be on my radar, especially if it heads from OH west, or OH to the northeast, just too far out and back, but I'd love to get this running again for 2021/22 PT. I'm officially the 3rd owner, first owner was a mom that bought it new in 68 and gave it to her daughter in 1972. It hasn't been on the road since 1981/82 was the last NC registration it had. The OHC 6 in it is crap and they are expensive as hell (and difficult) to get parts for... so I bought a 1972 Pontiac 400 for it. I also scored a 1968 original GM 400 hood for it on craigslist for $50. It will also have a Tremec TKO600. Body is all original and 97% rust free. It's only had one really really really bad Maaco repaint around 93 from the last guy that bought it, couldn't get it running, and put it in storage (he never registered it). Original paint is on the backside of everything.

I wanted to name her Stella after the original owner but Jena insists I name it Gonzo because it has a "big nose".

So, you can see in one of the pics, there's like a huge problem... my garage appears to be full... hmmmmmm. what to do... what to do.... what... to... do....

I won't be doing Power Tour in 2020. I can't afford two major vintage car trips so this year I will be attending the Studebaker Drivers Club international meet in Chattanooga. I will miss PT fun, but I can't do everything I want to. I have missed the SDC Meet the last two years so fair is fair. If I were to do PT it would be in my trusty '65 Studebaker.

Yea it's gonna have to get a lot of love between now and May to make the 2020 tour. I guess I could put it on the back of the Ramp truck and haul it around all week! It would be officially on the tour then.

I'm starting to tinker with my 2020 ride after two years of mostly neglectful ownership. It's a '91 Ford LTD Country Squire LX with junkyard Mustang heads atop a lopo 302 block, 'Lincoln Log' exhaust manifolds, wide-ratio AOD trans with a Lentech valve body, a 3.55 limited slip to keep things smoky, and a big-ass sway bar to keep it from flipping over in the turns. A few other things, nothing super worth mentioning. Is it fast? No. Is it really nice? No. Is it going to be fun on HRPT? Yup, I hope so anyway.

But I've got about 300 days left to figure that all out.

SO...let's see what you're bringing...even if it's what you drove last year. What's on your to-do list?
HOPEFULLY, there will be a pair of Country Squires on the tour this year.
I have to get the trans issue figured out, I will take it to the local AOD guru and hopefully he can fix the problem...watch it be something simple.
After the trans is taken care of, I will work on getting all the piping under the hood and forcing plenty of air into the engine.

                        Intercooled?

                        ...or not intercooled?

I’ll be taking my 64 Cutlass, been parked since fall 2015 when I pulled the 455.
Not sure what engine will be powering it, maybe the old 350 Olds that’s sitting in it now, maybe an LS, maybe a Ford mod motor. Lol

Thanks John. It was a CA black plate car in dry storage for 29 years so pretty solid. I will need to do a few things though for a road trip.
