You are going to enjoy it!!
and still over the past 16 years, I too sit, have a beer, and look at it,....."Yes it was worth every hour of hard work to have my own HAPPY PLACE !!"
Thanks everyone! Things will start moving much faster once the roof is complete. It looks like I'm going to have two more dry weekends in a row!

32x88 is HUGE! That's awesome you did most of it yourself. At this point, I'd love to pay someone to just finish it, but my bank account says I have to finish it. I have all the materials for the roof and exterior, so far I'm around $35K in. Will likely be around $55K with interior finishes and lift (electric and doors are next big expense.)

Thanks for the heads up on the metal ceiling. I've been trying to figure out something that would install faster and require little work. Cost is obviously higher, but will install quick with no further work (especially an insane amount of sheetrock sanding).

      Ceiling,
I first put up, insulation, Then Homasoat, (that cheap soft fibery sheets as a sound deadener), then Galvanize steel Side wall steel (its thinner ga. And cheaper) to reflect light AND HEAT (heat is important here).
ALSO some garage sale ceiling fans.
      these help with heating, and.....
reverse them in summer to keep mosquitoes out of the shop!! (Mosquitoes, including the bird size specimens that live here, can't fly in any breeze)

I read its also available in vinyl (cheaper and easier/lighter to install) but I couldn't seem to find it?

Where did you pick yours up from? Supposedly Menards is a great place to get roof/wall sheeting from... buuuuuuuuuuuuutt we don't have any here.

I got mine from a local metal building supplier -builder.
They even delivered it on their way to one of there jobs.
Lowe's or Home Depot might have it in stock lengths. DON'T get anything longer than 12 feet,
unless you have plenty of help. The longer sheets will kink in a heartbeat if you pick them up alone.

Things have happened! I finished the roof eaves, sheeting, and underlayment by myself. THAT was a lot of work. I also finished sheeting the outside and got everything wrapped.

Just yesterday the shingles went on. I opened up my check book for this one. Worth it.
