Don't see us going back to Bowling Green; we were just there in 2018.
On a selfish level, I'm hoping they start at Norwalk in 2020 - I was impressed at how they handled this year's Tour especially compared to 2014 which I felt was a disaster. If not Norwalk, maybe the I-X Center outside of Cleveland which was the starting point for 2007...plenty of parking, room for autocross, abundance of hotels in the immediate area, good freeway access.
Beyond that, I can't see any way that Michigan isn't involved somehow. It definitely won't be at Michigan International Speedway, as their Winston Cup, errr, whatever they'll call it in 2020 Cup series race is that weekend. Would be a cool venue for a future Tour, though.
For whatever reason, I think Chicagoland Speedway will be on the 2020 route, which would set us up for Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri. Since we spent a lot of 2018 and 2019 south of the Mason-Dixon, I believe 2020 will go north for most of it.2003 Marauder (HRPT 2014, 2018)

It would be nice if it went Norwalk - Brainerd or St. Paul. The MN State Fairgrounds handles the huge Back to the 50’s event every year with about 13,000 cars. Lots of room at BIR too as they can handle the NHRA national event. Maybe Sioux Falls or Des Moines too, new areas with maybe cooler temps.Jim & Cathy North Mankato, MN Long Haulers '04,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14,18,21Short Haul '05,'15,'17,’19 WST '14,'15,'16,'17,’18

I really have no idea overall, they've hit the TN/KY area so much in the past few years, I see them staying northeast and ending in PA or VA? but more likely I see them going back west, but staying in the north/central states. With the north/west route I definitely see Detroit as a stop. The distance between Norwalk and Detroit is perfect for a day 1/day 2 PT start (120 miles fastest route).1967 Chevrolet C10 SWB - 350/700R/3.73

I was actually right
It's going from Norwalk west to Madison.
I might be out for the next couple of years, I have a feeling if 2021 happens, it's going down to TX, LA area.I R Bob
