Potential first timer here. Considering the long haul. How does check-in work at each venue? Is it a drive-by thing, or does one have to get out and wait in a (non-social distanced) queue to get credentials stamped at each venue?

at each venue they have a Stage area set up in the vendor area where they do giveaways and announcements. on one side or the other of the stage is a station with time clocks which you need to insert your credentials into to get a date stamp for that day. you need a date stamp on your credentials for each day of the tour to be considered a long hauler, and receive the giveaways at the end of the tour. by August, there may or may not still be a need for masks and social distancing. only time will tell. welcome to the madness! be careful, though! it's addicting!! if you have any other questions, please ask! someone will have an answer!Hot Rod Power Tour...As much fun as you can have in a car with your clothes on!!

Initial check in is either the afternoon before or when you arrive on the first day. For that one you will be required to go through a check in line & present your cars registration, insurance & your drivers license. That will get you your credentials for checking in at each stop on the rest of the tour. I have only preregistered & done that but I would assume that it is similar if you do not register until you get there....when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.

Once you've initially registered (on the first day or day before) and gotten your window sticker --when you get close to the venue there will be signs for participants to follow - also for gold and platinum registrants - then your sticker is glanced at by parking volunteers - and proceed to park. There is also a lot for spectators.Last edited by 70chevyC-10; May 19, 2020, 05:30 AM.Phil / Omaha
