  • 2020 cancelled per HRPT page!!!!!!!!

    https://www.hotrod.com/events/power-tour/

After careful consideration and as a precaution, HOT ROD has decided not to move forward with the 2020 HOT ROD Power Tour, originally scheduled for August 23-29, 2020. The safety of the Power Tour’s participants, sponsors and staff is our top priority. We are looking forward to returning in June 2021 and continuing the tradition of the world’s largest traveling car show. All registered participants will receive a notification email of the postponement and will receive a refund within 30 days. All Current HRPT Platinum and Gold Club ticketholders will receive a chance to reserve these slots for 2021.

The 26th HOT ROD Power Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance is cancelled .

I don't think anybody is surprised. Too bad, but inevitable. Now can we start guessing at what next year's route will be like?

I would vote for the 2011 route. At least the beginning & end of it.

I wasn't going to go this year due to distance, vacation time, and a little guy arriving this fall... but if it's the same route next year... it would be a good goal to get the 68 bird running and make it next year...

Motor swap, suspension, brakes... totally doable... nope, no, won't happen...

My guess is they try to duplicate the route that didn’t happen this year... partially to support the venues & cities that lost revenue from the cancellation.

And also to make their prep work this year count for something.

That's what I was thinking too. I was able to re-book all of my rooms for 2021 (assuming a June 6th start date). Free cancellation so it's no big deal if the route isn't the same.

                              1991 Country Squire (2023 HRPT?)
